Welcome to my new weekly devlogs where I keep you updated on what happens on MakerKing! This is the first edition.

Community

Things have been quiet lately as there's little new players. Still ranking wise Super_Zelda keeps kicking I_am_TheSheep out of the top 5. Bluecoaster came back to the game and sits comfortably in the 4th position. In 3rd we have Sif who keeps getting WRs on all the obscure levels and in 2nd we have WebFreak who is nowhere to be seen lately but with his crazy kaizo speedrun times is unlikely to be pushed out. Then there's me, in first place sitting with more than 3 times the score of the second player. What explains this difference? Score accumulation seems to be the answer. Now that most levels give score it's much more easy to make score but then the player who have played 1000 levels have a massive advantage over the player who have played 100 levels. This will be resolved by weighting the scores to rule out the number of levels played as part of the deciding factor. 

Dev

While some of you have been busy grinding scores, us in the dev team are in full marketing mode. The new trailer is coming, nice press releases are under construction to notify every press person under the sun of the existence of this game and we are even preparing the steam page. I am very excited about this, especially with how well I was about to integrate the itch's style into a mailchimp email: 


Isn't that beautiful? Still WIP of course but this is already a massive improvement over our old templates.
